Who Is Stalking Trina on General Hospital? The Suspects, Clues, and What’s Next

Her Glow-Up, Their Obsession: Why Trina’s Stalker Storyline Hits So Close to Home

Since late July, General Hospital has been building one of its most unsettling mysteries in years, with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) at its center. An unseen figure has been photographing her, tracking her music career, and keeping an altered collection of her pictures on a hidden board.

As of this week, Trina remains unaware of the surveillance, and the stalker’s identity has not been revealed. With Trina and Gio’s performance at the Cat’s Eye Lounge scheduled for October 13, the storyline appears to be heading toward a major turning point.

A Career Built Through a Difficult Season

Trina and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) signed a record deal with music executive Simon Craft (Grady Eldridge). Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) helped launch that career by arranging their showcase and supporting the deal.

That relationship ended in early September. Trina overheard a conversation between Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickward) and learned that Brook Lynn was the other driver who left the scene of the Route 91 accident involving Curtis and Jordan Ashford (Donnell Turner, Tanisha Harper). Curtis had acted on incorrect assumptions about who caused the crash, and that sequence of events led to his imprisonment.

Trina confronted Brook Lynn publicly, including at a Quartermaine gathering, and turned down her attempts to explain and apologize. She considered walking away from the record deal altogether but chose to keep performing with Gio and stay with Simon’s label. She did, however, end Brook Lynn’s role as their manager.

The decision let Trina hold Brook Lynn accountable without giving up the work she had built. It also left her with a smaller professional support system at a time when she may need one most.

What the Stalker Has Done So Far

Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten previewed the story in Soap Opera Digest this summer, saying, “Trina is at the center of someone’s attention, but that isn’t a good thing.”

The first sign came on the July 22 episode, which ended with the reveal of a hidden board covered in photographs of Trina. The episode had followed her contract signing and a celebration with her boyfriend, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup).

Many of the photos have been altered. In pictures that originally showed Trina with Kai or with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), her former love who was presumed dead in 2024, the men have been carefully cut or edited out.

The board has continued to grow. The stalker photographed Trina’s September 1 performance in Rochester and added the image. By October 5, it held a promotional postcard for the October 13 show with Gio’s face crossed out and the date circled.

The stalker has also been nearby without Trina’s knowledge. They were at Bobbie’s Diner on August 13 as she dealt with her father’s guilty verdict, and outside the Cat’s Eye Lounge window during the October 12 sound check.

Why the Story Resonates

Trina’s story reflects a reality many Black women recognize: growing visibility can bring unwanted attention along with opportunity. The stalker’s behavior is less about admiration than control. Removing her partners from photos and crossing out her collaborator are attempts to isolate her.

It’s also not the first time Trina has been targeted. Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) previously stalked and threatened her over Spencer. That Trina has kept building her life and career through all of it speaks to the character’s resilience.

The Suspects

Simon has drawn early suspicion. He has pushed for a fabricated romance between Trina and Gio and wanted Kai kept out of view. He also referred to Trina as “the one to watch” in a phone call and has been absent at moments when stalker activity is shown.

Quinn (Jequan Jackson), Kai’s friend from Port Charles University, returned the day the board was revealed and has previously disapproved of Trina’s effect on Kai’s football career. Previews show him approaching Trina this week when she has car trouble.

Other theories center on Spencer and Esme, who were both presumed dead after the Paris incident, with no body recovered for Spencer. Heather Webber (Alley Mills), Esme’s mother and the serial killer once known as “The Hook,” returns November 5.

Tabyana Ali Is in the Dark, Too

The cast and crew know who the stalker is, but Ali has not been told so that her performance stays aligned with Trina’s unawareness. She has described the suspicions around Quinn and Simon as “too easy.” She has also said she would like the reveal to involve Spencer or Esme, in part so she could work with those actors again.

What’s Next

This week’s promo is titled “Dangerous Obsession.” Spoilers indicate Trina will receive flowers and a card from her “biggest fan,” deal with car trouble, and may need to be rescued.

The Bottom Line

Trina has spent the fall facing betrayal, her father’s imprisonment, and the near loss of her music career, and she is still on stage. Whatever the reveal brings, her story is a reminder that a Black woman’s success deserves protection, not surveillance.
